Distance Learning

Degree Overview

The benefit of learning from Kilns College professors while engaging your local community.

Our distance program follows the same curriculum as the residential program, but allows students the flexibility of studying from home - wherever home might be!

We have implemented a cohort model for the distance program that encourages students to connect with the Kilns community and with each other throughout the semester.

Residency Week

We have a one-week residential component, held once per semester, where all distance students travel to Bend for a one-week intensive course, orientation, faculty and student interaction. Attendance at Residency Week is highly recommended, but not required of students. The Fall 2017 residency week will take place August 20th-25th with a one-week intensive course. For more information on the Fall 2017 residency course, click here or send us an email.

Kilns encourages distance students to connect with their local community for as much of their studies as possible. Get involved with a local ministry or nonprofit (or continue your involvement with organizations where you have existing relationships) to positively impact your community and an area or issue you are passionate about.

Tuition and application requirements are the same for the residential and distance programs.
